Graphic Design Student

Temp (Summer 2020)

This is a great opportunity to join a fast-growing startup and take on responsibility at an accelerated pace. This is a contract position for the duration of 12-weeks, at 35hr/wk, starting June 1st, 2020. Please submit your resume & portfolio or a link to your Bēhance/Adobe Portfolio page.

Due to the restrictions on the grant for this role, the following criteria must be met by applicants:

  • Registered as a domestic student in a recognized Canadian post-secondary institution

  • Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or persons to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act

  • Legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations

  • Must have a work-integrated learning component within their study plan

  • Can be in a full- or part-time program

  • Can be from any program of study (i.e. STEM, business, arts, etc)

The position calls for you to have experience with:

  • Photoshop, photo editing

  • Illustrator, familiar with vector editing

  • Video editing in Adobe Premiere

  • Motion graphics/animations

  • Working with a team

  • Working under pressure

  • Being proactive and self-motivated

Job Type: Full-time Temporary (June 1 - Aug 31 2020)


  • Training in graphic design or digital media arts or equivalent practical experience

  • Fluency in best practices for user-centered design process

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Start-up environment experience and familiarity with HTML & CSS a plus

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Create an asset pool to be leveraged across mediums

  • Research and define keyword strategy for SEO and paid search initiatives

  • Assist in the creation of content for social media outreach

  • Assist in the development of client on-boarding material

  • Assist with the planning and execution of marketing activities at Level


  • Working towards bachelor's (Preferred)
